These Terms of Service govern your use of SoundUpkeep's website and services. By booking a service or using this website, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
SoundUpkeep provides preventive maintenance for residential appliances. Our services are strictly preventive in nature — we do not diagnose, repair, or replace appliances. We do not perform work that requires a licensed trade contractor. If we identify a condition requiring repair, we will document it and notify you, but repair work is outside our scope.
Services are limited to the appliance types confirmed in your plan at the time of booking. Additional appliances requested at the time of a scheduled visit may be accommodated at our discretion and billed accordingly. We reserve the right to decline service on appliances that are unsafe to access or maintain.
Your plan price is confirmed at your free home walkthrough, based on your specific appliances. Parts, when required, are billed separately and communicated before proceeding. Your payment method is authorized at booking and charged at 5:00 PM Pacific time on the day before your scheduled visit.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. We also accept Bitcoin (on-chain and Lightning) — select the Bitcoin option at checkout or contact us at hello@soundupkeep.com for details.
You may cancel or reschedule a visit any time before 5:00 PM Pacific on the day before your scheduled visit for a full refund. Cancellations after that point are non-refundable; however, we will issue a service credit equal to the full amount paid, valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. We reserve the right to reschedule visits due to weather, staffing, or other circumstances outside our control, and will notify you as soon as possible if this occurs.
You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to all appliances included in your service. We reserve the right to skip any appliance that is inaccessible, unsafe, or requires work outside our stated scope. Skipped appliances will be noted in your Home Health Report.
SoundUpkeep performs preventive maintenance to reduce the likelihood of appliance failure. We do not guarantee that maintained appliances will not fail. Our liability for any claim arising from a service visit is limited to the amount paid for that visit. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, manufacturer defects, or failures unrelated to our maintenance work.
We provide a Home Health Report after each visit documenting appliance condition, work performed, and any items flagged for attention. This report is informational and does not constitute a warranty or guarantee of appliance condition or performance.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated directly to active clients.
