Mo and Sarah at Lumen Field — lifelong Seattleites, homeowners, OL Reign fans.
We bought our first Seattle home twenty years ago.
Maintenance found us pretty quickly.
We were first-time homeowners. Nobody handed us a manual. We figured we'd be fine — and for a while we were. Then the smoke alarm started chirping. Then the water heater let go. Then we had a furnace replaced that didn't need replacing, not really, if someone had been paying attention.
What frustrated us wasn't the work. It was that there was no service built around the whole home. You could buy a warranty on one appliance. You could call someone when something broke. But there was nothing proactive, nothing comprehensive, nothing that treated your home as a system that needed regular attention.
So we built it. Not because we're perfect homeowners — we're not — but because we learned the difference between a little work now and a lot of chaos later. And we thought other homeowners deserved that option too.
